Oskar Mason – Principal Dentist at Bicton Place Dental

Oskar Mason is the Principal Dentist and owner of Bicton Place Dental. He is an experienced private dentist in East Devon with almost 20 years of clinical experience. Since qualifying from the University of Bristol in 2006, he has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality, patient-centred care. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with a particular focus on cosmetic, restorative and implant treatment. Oskar is also an Associate Fellow of the College of General Dentistry, recognising his commitment to high professional standards and lifelong learning.

Early in his career, Oskar spent a year as a Senior House Officer in the Oral Surgery Department at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. During this time, he gained valuable surgical experience and developed strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills. He then worked in several respected private dental practices across Bristol, Somerset and East Devon before becoming the owner and Principal Dentist at Bicton Place Dental in 2022.

Oskar has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and enjoys helping patients smile with confidence. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry from the University of Warwick. He has also completed advanced training in smile design, clear aligner orthodontics and facial aesthetics, including wrinkle-reduction treatments. Every treatment begins with careful planning and clear communication to achieve natural-looking, predictable results.

In 2025, Oskar completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implants at The Delta Training Academy. He now provides dental implant treatment at Bicton Place Dental, offering patients a long-lasting and reliable solution for missing teeth using modern, evidence-based techniques.

Patients value Oskar for his calm, friendly and approachable manner. He believes that trust is the foundation of great dentistry and enjoys building long-term relationships with his patients. His gentle approach helps even nervous patients feel relaxed, and he takes pride in delivering treatment that is both functional and beautifully natural.

Outside the practice, Oskar lives in East Devon with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys making the most of the local countryside and coastline and is often walking the family Kooikerhondje on Woodbury Common or along the beach. In his free time, he also enjoys cooking, photography and sketching.
