Oskar Mason – Principal Dentist at Bicton Place Dental

Oskar Mason is an experienced private dentist in East Devon with nearly two decades of clinical experience and a strong reputation for high-quality, patient-centred care. He qualified from the University of Bristol in 2006 and has since built a broad and well-rounded career in general, cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Oskar is also an Associate Fellow of the College of General Dentistry, reflecting his commitment to professional standards and ongoing education.

Early in his career, Oskar spent a valuable year working as a Senior House Officer in the Oral Surgery Department at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton. This hospital-based experience provided him with advanced surgical exposure and strengthened his diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills. He then went on to work in a range of respected dental practices across Bristol, Somerset and East Devon, gaining extensive experience in private dentistry before becoming the owner and principal dentist at Bicton Place Dental in 2022.

Oskar has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and is passionate about helping patients improve their confidence through natural-looking smile transformations. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry from the University of Warwick and has undertaken advanced training in smile design, clear aligner orthodontics and facial aesthetics, including wrinkle-reduction treatments. His approach focuses on careful planning, excellent communication and predictable, high-quality outcomes.

In 2025, Oskar completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Implants at The Delta Training Academy. He is delighted to now offer dental implant treatment at Bicton Place Dental, providing patients with a long-term solution for missing teeth using modern, evidence-based techniques.

Known for his calm, caring and approachable manner, Oskar places great importance on building trust and long-term relationships with his patients. He has a strong reputation for gentle dentistry and takes pride in delivering treatment that is both functional and highly aesthetic.

Outside of dentistry, Oskar enjoys living in East Devon with his wife and two daughters. He makes the most of the local countryside and coastline and is often found walking the family Kooikerhondje on Woodbury Common or by the sea. In his spare time, he also enjoys cooking, photography and sketching.
