Bicton Place Dental Practice is a private dental practice based in the heart of Exmouth, Devon.

Our practice, which has been established since the 1940’s, is proud to have achieved The British Dental Association (BDA) 'Good Practice' Award and the 'Denplan Excel Accreditation' (which is the only practice accreditation programme recognised by The Patients Association). Both these programmes demonstrate that we are committed to providing an excellent service and achieve continual improvement.

As you probably know Bicton Place has been open and caring for patients since mid-June 2020 after the initial lockdown. However despite the government’s recent easing of lockdown restrictions, the dental industry remains required to keep infection prevention measures higher than most other areas of our lives. Things are still far from ‘normal’ at the practice and we are obliged to await official guidance as to when we can start to take safe steps to return to where we were before the pandemic.
As most of you will have now witnessed whilst attending the practice since June 2020, we have various measures in place to keep everyone safe. These measures include the booking and staggering of longer appointments for everyone attending, a limited list of treatments we are still able to undertake, and an even higher level of infection prevention measures and PPE in place. We are still ringing everyone prior to each appointment to confirm the situation and to check that there are no concerns about attending safely. Things are running smoothly and the adapted ways of working are all in place to make sure that both you and our team members are safe in our premises. This will all remain the same until we have official clearance to relax these measures.
We ask for your continued patience as we tackle the problems caused by a year of limited access, the continuing restricted way of practising dentistry and the higher costs associated with the procedures we have to have in place until further notice.
If you have an appointment booked, we will be in touch with you a few days prior to your appointment to check that there are no concerns about attending. If you have an appointment booked but you have concerns about your health please just email or call us as soon as possible and we can postpone your appointment until you are happy to attend.
