Our practice, which has been established since the 1940’s, is proud to have achieved The British Dental Association (BDA) 'Good Practice' Award and the 'Denplan Excel Accreditation' (which is the only practice accreditation programme recognised by The Patients Association). Both these programmes demonstrate that we are committed to providing an excellent service and achieve continual improvement.

2022 but still some familiar COVID complications

Having been up and running and seeing patients safely after the first lockdown, since June 2020, dental practices are now able to run at almost, our previous standard infection prevention measures. This makes things a little less complicated than initial guidance did, but still helps keep things safe, both for us all working day by day at Bicton Place and for our patients.

We need to continue to be cautious, the dental practice could be a high risk environment, and we ask all patients attending Bicton Place to please:

  • postpone your appointment if you are not feeling well. We are still not allowed to see patients with any 'respiratory' symptoms. Signs which could indicate potential covid infection such as coughs, colds, loss of taste or smell or any flu like symptoms;
  • wear a face covering if possible, unless you are in the dental chair;
  • do not turn up early for your appointment and, if you can, come alone;
  • try to keep a distance of at least 1m+ from other patients and staff members

Anyone with an appointment will still be contacted by us before hand to confirm the appointment and to run over some COVID19 screening questions. This screening is still a requirement, in place to minimise COVID transmission via the practice and protect other patients and our staff and we thank you for your support in this matter.

Please do contact us if, in the 10 days before your appointment if:

  • you or any member of your household/family have a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis;
  • you or any member of your household/family have been advised to isolate by any NHS organisation;
  • you or any member of your household/family are waiting for a COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 PCR test result;

In those situations we will re-schedule your appointment with us.
